People who can speak about niche topics like the world of LEGO bricks in an engaging and audience-appropriate way are few and far between! I have given talks at the enormous Star Wars Celebration and BrickCon events, presented Blocks magazine to other media representatives and hosted the livestreamed Bricks at Home event.
I can produce bespoke content for specific events. Whether that’s an audience of dedicated Star Wars enthusiasts who want to dive deep or an audience of the LEGO-curious who want to get back into their favourite childhood hobby, I can ensure that the presentation is appropriate. Here are some more specifics on a handful of the talks I have given;
Star Wars in the 1990s

At London’s Star Wars Celebration in 2023 I gave a talk called Star Wars in the 1990s. This was an unashamedly nostalgic look at how Star Wars had its resurgence in the 1990s, with novels, comic books and video games leading to 1997’s triumphant release of the Special Edition movies. A nice mix of talking through the decade, clips, spot prizes and audience polls ensured that the energy stayed high for a full hour.
LEGO Star Wars 20th Anniversary
For Star Wars Celebration in 2019, which took place in Chicago, I was part of a panel delivering the Collecting Stage’s LEGO presentation. We talked through the whole of the 20-year history of LEGO Star Wars, picking out interesting stories and fun facts from over the years. I then trimmed it down so we could deliver a slightly shorter version on the LEGO Group’s stage as part of the company’s activation for the event.
LEGO for big kids: The road to 18+
The LEGO Group launched a new brand in 2020 to appeal to adults specifically, age marking products as 18+. To coincide with that change, I gave a presentation at the enormous BrickCon 2020 LEGO convention about how the LEGO Group had actually made sets for older fans for years and demonstrated how the previous LEGO sets for older fans eventually became the 18+ products that are available today.
Bricks at Home host
In 2020 and 2021, during the lockdowns that were in place due to the pandemic, I hosted a two-day virtual convention on behalf of two LEGO community groups. I interviewed LEGO fans who presented their models to an audience of fellow fans. My role was to facilitate the presenters showing off their amazing models and keeping the energy high.
